Secretary (Open)
- Maintain copies of the organization’s Bylaws and the Board’s policy statements.
- Take official meeting minutes, including all motions and decisions of meetings.
- Record Board attendance and ensure there is quorum at meetings.
- Maintain copies of minutes of Board and committee meetings.
- Distribute copies of minutes promptly and sign Board minutes and corrections to attest to their
- accuracy.
- Conduct and maintain records of all Board correspondence.
- Sign official documents of the organization as required.
Vice President of Communications & Marketing (Open)
- Ensure that all communications, including the web site, are consistent with the desired brand
- positioning, messaging and have a common look and feel.
- Prepare and advertise all Chapter events
- Market through social media all Chapter events, Chapter mission, workshops and other Chapter activities that will result in the growth of the Chapter.
- Prepare and manage communication to external parties - members, nonmembers, sponsors, speakers, and partners
- Promote the vision and mission of the Chapter.
- Maintain Chapter contacts and other IIBA organization contacts.
- Develop and/or facilitate the development of chapter communication guidelines, processes, and templates
- Develop and manage marketing strategies, tactics, and plans for the Chapter to elevate the
- awareness in the business community and support the execution of the organization's goals.
- Conduct periodic member surveys to assess the organization’s needs.
- Create and communicate yearly Newsletter to members
Vice President of Technology (Open)
- Ensures the local Chapter website accessibility to IIBA members and visitors.
- Maintains accessibility and permissions of the website and other tools.
- Responsible for maintenance of other tools such as email, Chapter Google docs, electronic voting tool, event advertising tool(s)
- Ensure Chapter technology meets IIBA requirements.
- Be the technology liaison to IIBA.
- Supports technology needs for the Chapter.
Vice President of Membership & Sponsorship (Open)
- Maintain and build corporate relationships.
- Report on all sponsorship matters
- Seek out potential sponsorship opportunities by creating a target list and actual list of sponsors
- Develop a sponsorship strategy/package that can be used at events to satisfy client needs
- Ensure Sponsors logos are represented at every opportunity and presentation
- Ensure Sponsors are informed of all publications and feedback
- Promote sponsorship opportunities
- Produce letters of sponsorship agreement and send to all sponsors of all events
- Maintain and build membership relationships
- Seek out potential members
- Promote volunteer opportunities to members
- Produce letters and surveys to members as appropriate with the goal of increasing membership
Vice President
- In the absence of the President, assumes authority, duties and responsibilities of the President and shall have such other authority as may be delegated by the Chapter President
- Provide leadership to the Board of Directors of the Chapter
- Ensure the Board adheres to its Bylaws
- Encourage Board members to participate in meetings and activities
- Keep the Board’s activities focused on the organization’s mission
- Assist Board members and committee chairpersons to the Board
- Participate in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the Board’s decision-making process
- Participate in the process of evaluating the effectiveness of Board members
- Promote the organization’s purpose in the community and to the media
- Ensure programs and services are implemented
- Along the President defines the overall strategic plan
- Guide & support Vice Presidents as required to carry out their duties successfully
