As leaders of a home-grown analytics team that supports a multifunctional business division, Mike and Chris will share lessons learned through the implementation of processes, transparency tools, and consultative business practices that have positioned their team to better serve the increasing demand for analytics within their growing organization. Their focus on automation, self-service, and agile methodologies – in concert with the Priority Health Information Services department – have led to demonstrable success on many large-scale initiatives and projects at Priority Health.

Speakers Bio:

Mike Soltis is the Director of Provider Network Analytics at Priority Health. He leads a team of Business Intelligence Analysts, Data Engineers, and Business Systems Analysts who support various departments, including Provider Contracting, Provider Operations, Sales, and more. Mike has held a succession of leadership roles in Analytics with Spectrum Health and Priority Health. Prior to that, Mike was a Business Intelligence Developer with Metro Health – University of Michigan Health. Mike holds two master’s degrees from Grand Valley State University—one in Health Administration and the other in Public Administration. Mike currently resides in Ada with his wife of 13 years, his 7-year-old daughter, and his 4-year-old son.

Chris Breen is the Supervisor of Provider Network Analytics at Priority Health, helping lead an embedded team of Analysts within the Provider Network division. He is a former Business Intelligence Analyst that held various business roles in Contracting, Regulatory Compliance, Sales and Business Process Support. His experience provides an appreciation for the challenges of collaboration between the “business” and analytical systems support. He currently resides in Walker, Michigan with his wife of 15 years, Jennifer, his 8-year-old daughter and 7-year-old twin boys.
